As a requirement to apply to Chapman for film production, you are required to make a 2 minute short film. I initially tried to apply in 2012 while I was living abroad in Australia. However, my house was broken into and I had most of my things taken, including my computer and camera. I decided that I’d rather still try, so I filmed a short on my iPhone.
Unfortunately, the first time around I didn’t make it. So I’ve spent the last 2 years hammering hard on bringing grades up and being a better candidate for applying. I thought it would be creative to make a realistic movie trailer based on the experiences I had the first time I tried to apply and what I did after my house was broken into.
With the help of some extremely patient friends who dropped things they were doing to help me out, we were able to get this done in 8 weeks. I had to cut out a lot to fit the 2 minute requirement for the school. So this is the original version I had made that was way over the 2 minute requirement.
